Youth Christian Education

Welcome to Sunday School at First Congregational Church! We welcome all kids from Preschool through High School. We have a lot of fun and learn a lot. The elementary children study the Ten Commandments, as a preparation for the two commandments of Jesus: that we love God and love one another, and learn about various people in the Bible. The older youth study the Gospels. We also have crafts and music to help with the teachings.
Here are some of the special events we have in Sunday School at FCC:
Christmas 2011
To all Sunday school parents: We will begin working on the children's Christmas pageant on Sunday, Nov. 20, and will have 3 rehearsals before the pageant on Sunday, December 11. All rehearsals will take place during Sunday School, and we hope everyone will come and take part. It's going to be a lot of fun - we have some very special surprises this year!
Christmas Pageant 2010
On December 12, 2010 the Sunday School put on their annual Christmas pageant, telling the story of the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus in a manger through scripture readings and songs. They incorporated members of the choir as their sheep. Here are some photos of the event.

Youth Sunday
On May 16, 2010 the Sunday School older youth conducted the service. The younger kids sang a song. In addition, the newest addition to the Errico family, Stryjker, was baptized.

Palm Sunday Pageant 2010
The Sunday School children put on a Palm Sunday pageant on March 28, 2010. The older youth read the stories of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem and the children sang Give Me Oil in My Lamp; Shine, Jesus, Shine; He's Got the Whole World; and Amazing Grace. It was a wonderful pageant!

The kids also made palm branches prior to the pageant. Here are some photos of the event.
